Zoroark
Master of Illusions
After the success of Shadow Lugia, I wanted to create another Pokemon mascot suit, or fursuit, to learn more about sewing and designing patterns from scratch. This was around the time the Pokemon games Black and White launched bringing with it a whole new cast of characters.
The head, arms, and feet were created out of high density foam I picked up from Joanns. For the head, the foam was glued down to a ski mask to allow for ease of taking the head on and off. The eyes were resin casted in a circular paint palette. While it dried, I added 2 LEDs to the mixture and let it cure into the resin. Once cured, I glued 2 of the resin circles together and painted one of them to create the iris of the eye. The results were LEDs eyes that had the illusion of following you.
The hands were fun to create as I left holes in the fingers so I could move them around.
The hair was made out of some "Elmo" fur I found at a local fabric store. The inside to keep it light weight but have shape was filled with beach balls. This proved useful as I could inflate and deflate the hair for storage and travel.
The legs are digit-graded legs and were filled with stuffing to help create an animal leg.

Costume Interview
MomoCon was one of many conventions Zoroark was worn to. During this convention I was interviewed about how I made the costume.
