Pokémon of Darkness

The costume that started my costuming career as Serenity Discord. This costume was a dream turned to reality with the help of Youtube tutorials and a lot of practice.

The head, feet, and wings were created using high density foam from Joanns. For the head, the foam was shaped to create the silhouette of the character then covered in fabric. To create the eyes, red film was placed over 2 LEDs to create the iris of the eye.

The wings were 2 pieces of foam cut out in the shape of the wings then glued together. A hole was left down the middle to allow the wearer's arms to fit inside.

Both the tail and digit-graded legs were custom sewing patterns that were then stuffed with filling. The tail also contained a piece of wire to help shape and give it character.
