D.Va Online

D.Va was another costume made on a short deadline. With the Overwatch game launching just a few months before convention season, there wasn't much time to think things through and to just create with what I had.

D.Va's flight suit was both a challenge and easy to construct. I had created her flight suit in Illustrator then sent my file off to an online bodysuit shop to have printed and made. I worked with the shop to provide measurements and recommendations to where zippers and closures should go.

A month later the suit came in and just in time for the convention as it was the next day.

The headset was created using EVA foam. To help with the shape and to fit on my head, I used a headband I got from the store as a base and it ended up working really well. I also used green battery powered LEDs inside the headset which gave them a glow effect when I was inside (outside they didn't really shot).

The markings on the face where painted on using Mehron though if I were to ever cosplay her again I would use custom tattoo paper for ease.
